The Memphis Stuent Aviation Association (MSAA) is a student organization comprised of students at the University of Memphis studying Commercial Aviation.

Since its founding in 2022, the MSAA has represented itself at or hosted events supporting aviation education in the Memphis area. Such events include attending regional and national aviation conferences, hosting an annual Fly-In and Career Day at the Memphis International Airport, promoting aviation safety through a weekley reading group, acting as aviation mentors and tutors, attending career days at local middle and high schools, and networking with aviation professionals at local events through airport tours, air traffic control tours, or private events.

Mission Statement:

At the MSAA, we are deeply committed to providing extensive professional support and meaningful development opportunities for our student members. Our foremost mission is to ensure that each student is thoroughly equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to make a smooth and successful transition into the aviation industry upon completion of our Commercial Aviation program. Beyond preparing our members for their professional journeys, we also take pride in serving as a vital bridge that connects students to the vast and diverse opportunities available within the aviation field. Moreover, we are dedicated to expanding the reach of aviation beyond our campus by actively engaging with and exposing our local community to the dynamic world of flight, fostering awareness, inspiration, and interest in aviation among individuals of all backgrounds. Through these efforts, the MSAA seeks not only to empower our student members but

also to cultivate a broader appreciation for the industry that drives innovation, connects

communities, and shapes the future of global transportation.
